Apparently, YouTube has started banning all channels that feature egg based content, saying that eggs are “overtly sexual in nature” and have no place on the platform.
In all seriousness, how far do you think YouTube is going to take things before people seriously consider other platforms?
January 28, 2020 at 2:30 am #19614so I could get banned for saying which came first the chicken or the egg also which was it
January 28, 2020 at 11:31 am #20188I don’t think we have much of a choice. YouTube is the 2nd most popular website and it’s just breaking even with its cost to host content and revenue earned. It’s owned by Google, a company that can afford to maintain the service, which is why the alternatives have to limit what they offer or flat out shut down.
Vimeo allows for free video hosting but only up to 5GB; then you have to pay for more storage. Vid.me allowed for free unlimited video hosting… until it shut down cause they couldn’t afford it.
January 28, 2020 at 12:19 pm #20215Yeah, YouTube’s constant updates to the algorithm, wide-sweeping policy changes, deleting/restricting accounts on a whim, favouring mainstream tv channels, etc… are a big reason behind the creation of the new FUNKY TIME site. And probably why you see other creators make platforms FloatPlane, Locals, Nebula, etc.
By building up this website, we’ll still have a place to get FUNKY if the poop hits the fan (plus it’s also really fun).

February 14, 2020 at 12:19 pm #23557eggs are banned? what will happen to content creators who make cooking tutorials?
April 10, 2020 at 3:24 pm #29784Now, I cannot upload videos over 15 minutes, but bigger YouTubers like SamTime or even PewDiePie can upload videos over the 15 minutes limit, well that’s sucks cause 2 videos that I made are now delayed :/

June 10, 2020 at 3:03 pm #33815It’s best to sell yourself (celebrity wise, not the other way) and not worry about copyrite or Patents. A fake “you” is lame. Just like Ashton Kutcher in 2.5 Men. As X gen, I think this channel will need to go to a biz channel eventually when Sam becomes a BOOMER 2.0!
That’s pretty much why I watch Samtime. The gamer stuff is behind me. Speaking of cool channels and biz I like this bald bearded guy and I don’t do archery. Neither do most of his subs.
Business Blaze is another new channel by Simon Whistler. If anyone studies YouTube algorithms it’s him so he’s done the homework already. He’s bald, bearded and wears glasses. I don’t recommend Sam shave his head and grow a beard and wear glasses, well not yet anyway but that is the key to success. Mr research himself James Corbett is also bald with a beard and glasses for example.
Anyhow, I see a future biz tech IT support channel here in future with bald bearded and glasses. The key to success. Don’t forget the shelf full of books in the background or green screen either. It’s mandatory.
Otherwise, who’s this hairy guy with bum fluff and no glasses? What would he know? Nothing. Where’s the book shelf? Phpppph.
