I have been trying to set up a VM for the past year or so, turned out I had Hyper-V installed on my Windows 10 Home system.

Parallels and VMware are probably the most popular virtualisation programs for Mac.

I’ve been using Parallels for about 4 years now and I’m quite happy with it. No problems running Windows 7 and Windows 10.
