Well, I’m going to be showing my age here but no consoles. For me it’s the Commodore 64, followed by the Commodore Amiga. They were what started affordable gaming (and to a lesser degree personal computer) machines for the home. They were just so far ahead of the curve it wasn’t funny.
The Amiga 500 for example. The PC of the time had mono-chrome display (2 colours, usually orange or green and black) and sounds were just beeps and buzzes. The Amiga 500 had thousands of colours, stereo sound and could play music too.
Yes compared to todays comsoles they are just junk but I think they were the great great grand daddies of todays consoles. They were also built well, I have some that still work today, though a good emulator is still easier than all the cables and floppy disks 😀
Even though Apple Failed this Should be a TOP TIER Console of all time
But however, My Real favorite game system has to be The Nintendo 3DS.
Besides the 3d feature that made people puke, It has to be my fav handheld, I liked games such as Pokemon: Ultra Sun, & Minecraft 3ds edition, It was such a peaceful life
