The only problem is quantum physics. Drag by tides should result in a decaying orbit until the Moon crashes to Earth, however it has been measured to be increasing it’s [sic] orbit radius by 15cm per year.
Is this actually quantum physics or are there just other forces acting on the moon, like momentum from just before it got caught in our orbit? Perhaps without tidal drag, it would be increasing its orbit by 25cm/year, but tidal drag is slowing it down to the current 15cm/year.
————————————————————–Otherwise, I’m all for a single unified time standard, though I’d settle for everyone agreeing on UTC until a proper conversion to Kermit Standard Time can be made. Time zones can be used for local affairs but UTC should be used for most stuff (especially near TMZ borders) and everyone should know their local offset. And also DST/Summer Time should be abolished. I’ll let Tom Scott do the talking from here before I fall into an hour-long, paragraphs-long rant on why they’re so bad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5wpm-gesOY
