June 10, 2020 at 10:26 pm #33822On my XFCE linux, I can just make whatever shortcut to any action I want anytime. For example, I’ve made that pressing the two shift keys at the same time changes the keyboard layout. Also, I use a lot of Super + other-key combinations for tiling windows, open programs, etc.

June 4, 2020 at 1:37 am #33591You’re right, Adriana. Gimp is pretty intuitive if you haven’t messed up your brain learning photoshop first. I’ve been installing Linux and other free/open-source software to many friends and relatives for a couple years now, and that’s a pretty common pattern. All the people who almost didn’t know anything about computers found linux quite easy to use and had no problems / complains; and the ones who were pretty windows-savy took a longer time to get accustomed.
Btw: GIMP stands for “GNU Image Manipulation Program” – And GNU stands for “GNU is Not Unix”.
