Born in 1935, Johns’s military career dated back to the 1950s, becoming The Dong’s disciple in June 1950, and fighting in the Korean War. The Dong taught Johnson extensively regarding combat, weaponry, survival, espionage, destruction, psychology and foreign languages (such as Russian), later developing LDJ together. Through the experience, John grew to hold The Dong in great respect and reverence, viewing him not only as a mentor, but also as a parental figure of sorts. They went their separate ways on June 12, 1959. Later he defeated The Dong and then became The Long Dong.
