December 19, 2020 at 9:46 pm #45346ANOTHER UPDATE:
Update 4, Wack A Bixby: Difficulty Defaults, Custom Difficulty Settings, Scoreboard.
Not much new in this version, but we now have difficulty defaults (Easy, Medium, Hard, Pope Samtime, Godly). The concept behind the difficulties are below:
Easy Mode: Basically a clicker, if you spam clicked just 1 area you could probably meet the score limit before the time limit.
Medium Mode: A Little more thought is needed but you could probably mis click a few times and meet the score limit before the time limit.
Hard Mode: Miss one or 2 times and you should be fine but miss more and you will run out of time before you can meet the score limit.
Pope Samtime Mode: Miss a single one and you won’t meet the score limit.
Godly Mode: Completely unreasonable. You won’t win this one!
Custom Difficulties (Difficulty 0) allows you to make the game you want! The text at the bottom will let you know what difficulty it equates to. For reference, if you divide the time limit by the score limit and get the following scores then it is the difficulty presented:
0.8 or lower: Godly
0.0-1: Pope Samtime
1-1.5: Hard
1.5-2: Medium
2-2.5: Easy
Scoreboard is now live (Highscores coming soon!), press H in game to bring it up. It will also say out loud your current score.
Coming soon:
Motion based content (Extras) – The speed of the game is dictated by your camera!
Story Mode (Extras) – Scripted speed and difficulty of the game, beat a certain score to progress. Maps will come with this mode.
Stay funky everyone,
animeotaku, signing out!
December 19, 2020 at 5:26 pm #45337Thanks The Indian Pianist, and Australia, I was taught how to use scratch for the first time in secondary school, but watching samtime reignited my passion to make games on scratch. TBH all of my old games were awful so I decided to bury them. BTW I am using the original account I used about 6 years ago!
But yeah, I’m working through some new bugs that are so bad, I might even have to restart development of the game.
December 16, 2020 at 5:02 pm #45247Other than some small optimisations (language control on mobile can only be adjusted in game) my game should be enjoyable, and it’s super on mobile (I tried it on my tablet which is a samsung galaxy tab s7 LTE).
Here are the only known bugs:
– Game doesn’t respect the rules… sometimes…
– Game doesn’t start first time… sometimes…
– Game doesn’t go German when D is pressed… Always
– Countdown breaks… dunno why…
Fixes: – Never give up!
– You can tweak the settings
– You can press G to change to German ( Whoopsies! My mistake!)
Note: not everything is language setting ready! only the count down (Which needs adjusting) and the score itself is translated, I’ll need to make some adjustments to the “Score is” text so that it is in native languages, I’ll also give the text multiple costumes in order for it to also change language!

December 16, 2020 at 6:45 am #45232Wack-A-Bixby, now in early access!
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/464290793
Spent so long designing it so that you can customise it, instructions are also baked into the game, you can set a goal like: Bop 30 bixbies in 10 seconds (This is done using sliders in Settings). Or you can make it harder by turning down the sensitivity of the cross hairs. Please note that it does have a bug where it won’t start immediately, sometimes you need to give it a second chance!
I also plan to add more to it, however for now, you can play to your hearts content! I made it so that it is ideal for the Funky Time Samp of Approval, as well as being fun.
I am planning on also making different difficulty settings and skins.
