I myself stream on twiych. I don’t upload/stream to yt anymore because of coppa
As far as which I prefer watching, definitely YouTube. I have a Twitch account, but actually going onto Twitch to watch someone stream just feels like an unnecessary extra step. I already watch videos on YouTube, so it’s much easier to watch streams on there too. I don’t stream myself though, so I don’t have an opinion on which one I prefer or is easier to use.
As a user, I prefer YouTube, and it’s for only one reason: They accept Google Play credits for Superchats, so I can donate to streamers if I so desire, and not if the credit card desires.
However, when it comes to which I would prefer if I streamed myself, I think I would go with YouTube, as they also have countdowns to when the stream will start. Correct if I’m wrong (because I don’t go to it that often), but I don’t think Twitch has countdowns for when the stream will start (even though they have notifications for when it has started.
Overall, I wouldn’t mind switching to Twitch though. Seems decent. Prove me wrong.
I agree.
I watch YouTube all the time and if I want to watch a stream, I don’t want to open another service. And I personally like YouTubes UI more.
Twitch is prob better but i don’t like change so i’ll use youtube instead.
YouTube, the option to seek back 10-sec in live is really appreciated as if you miss a moment, you can go back, watch it and then see the live whereas in Twitch, you have to rely on clips or the stream to end.
Also, YouTube streams are cached so even with some packet-loss you can watch the stream without buffers whereas Twitch streams will suffer.
