Windows 8 sucks?

So many people said “Windows 8 sucks!” or “Windows 8 is a dumb operating system!” Well why?

The windows interface takes up the intire screen. Instead of just being a small box, Like what windows 7 had.

I don’t think Windows 8 sucks, I liked the operating system (yes even the start screen), but then I upgraded my old Celeron laptop to Windows 10 and I think it was a amazing upgrade.

I don’t know if it’s my personal hardware being designed for it, but I don’t really think Windows 8 sucks. One thing is they didn’t include as much bloatware as Windows 10! Somehow though, it seems like nobody else thinks that. No wonder literally NO ONE (at time of writing) reported having Windows 8 installed on any of their devices…

The full screen start menu was kind of dumb, but it could easily be fixed by other softwares.

Great for tablets, but not for PC’s.  I think Windows 10 learned its lesson and did a better job.

 

Windows 8 era was  the only time I prefered the Mac OS.  Now I like both operating systems just like before.

At the time, Microsoft wanted to have the same Operating System on PC’s, laptops, tablets and Windows phone.
Also, they beefed up the “User Account Control” Security stuff they introduced with Windows Vista but never fully worked until Windows 7.

Basically, every other version of Windows introduces a series of untested new ideas, and they expect the CONSUMER to be the test subject, then they expect us to move from that to the next platform they created.

See the below table:

Windows 95 – good
Windows 98 – bad
Windows 98 SE – good
Windows ME – bad
Windows XP – good
Windows Vista – bad
Windows 7 – good
Windows 8 – bad
Windows 10 – good

Obviously this is a generalization, but I recognized the pattern by Windows XP and decided not to buy every other version of Windows.
I also wait just over a year for the Windows Updates to stabilize the operating system.

I will not be Microsoft’s guinea pig.
