I’m done with my slow laggy laptops!
What’s a good pc (with a high frame rate for GD) for around $130?
April 10, 2021 at 9:31 pm #47741If you want a good laptop you have to buy a more expensive laptop, I recommend at least $400 if you want something decent.
If you had a bad experience with a $150 laptop, your logic shouldn’t just be to buy another one for around the same price, it’ll probably be equally slow/bad. Just buy a more expensive laptop.
But if it absolutly has to be that cheap, your best bet would probably be something used.

A $130 PC IS a slow laggy laptop!
1/ Make some money and save it. If you are too young to get a job try tard busking where you play bongos like shit and people give you money for feeling sorry for you ( I see that in my area). OR, buy holistic honey and Oates herb soap on Ali Express and sell it at your Sunday market to hipsters at 1000% markup. Whatever it takes.
2/ Then, I hate em, but go to Lenovo’s web site. They’ll have a run out model for half price. Track it down. Buy as is or do what I did, add upgrades for a fraction of the price of over the shelf cost like the 1TB HDD I added for half the price, increased RAM or upgrade the SSD from 256 to 500GB and end up with a top of the line model for half the price.
3/ Buy it with said savings
4/ Now that you spent your mega savings on it don’t play games all day. Use it to recoup the money with some IT venture. Remember allot of IT acronyms and how to talk technobabble before blaming someone else for the computer virus you cannot fix and deploy a full rewrite. Charge lots of money.
April 23, 2021 at 1:27 pm #48071I might be brainwashed from Apple product pricing but I have never seen a PC that cheap. You’re unfortunately going to need at least $1000 for an okay computer.

May 3, 2021 at 5:39 pm #48379If you want higher framerates in Geometry Dash, there are some things that can help, without buying a whole new computer (that will be equally as bad as the one you have now).
You could try to uninstall bloatware that was pre installed with your PC, and programs you arent using anymore.
You could also try to close as many programs as possible, things like browsers, discord, and other programs you just leave open in the background, these can significantly impact performance, esspecially on a low end laptop.
