I know @The3HeadedOrange said this, but Windows Video Editor is good for beginners and it comes pre-installed with Windows 10.
OpenShot is the best I have ever used.. I still use it now.. Video Editor is okay for basic editing but for advanced people, OpenShot is the way to go!!
BTW, Shotcut it a very good and powerful editor as well, but you just need to learn how to use it because the UI is a bit of work
openshot is actually pretty underrated, it has everything that you need
Blender has a very good video editor built in, i suggest that. You can also try shotcut or kdenlive
Follow up to my first reply:
If you’re using Windows 7, then I recommend Windows Movie Maker (this is also a pre-installed app). IMO it’s actually easier to use Windows 7 Movie Maker than Windows 10 Video Editor.
Windows Movie Maker isn’t terrible, it’s just missing a lot of features, but this also makes it very easy to learn, and it’s also very light weight compared to other editing programs. So for some basic cutting it works really well. But for me davinci resolve is just way more powerful.
I got a new laptop and it has filmora on it
openshot works fine.
