Hey FUNKY MONKEYS, my iMac-a-licious’s’s keyboard poo’ed out today and the “F” key (amongst others) stopped working. Hard to stay FUNKY with that problem.
Looking to use some birthday money on one of those fancy mechanical keyboards. You guys have any top picks?
P.S. Thank gravy for the good old FUNKEYBOARD for allowing me to type this!
one that works
HyperX Alloy Origins
IBM’s Model M keyboards are the best.
a dell hand me down
I use the Redragon K582 which works really well, but it’s a budget mechanical keyboard at around $45 (actually on sale for $34 right now). It has linear keys so it’s pretty noisy but that doesn’t annoy me. If you’re looking for something more expensive though then idk. I haven’t really looked into higher-end options since I can’t afford them anyway.
Glad no one was insensitive enough to “press F to pay respects” in this topic.
Good luck on your quest.
ducky make some cool keyboards
it depends what you want
– what size (full, Ten KeyLess, 60% etc)
– what manufacturer of switch (cherry, outemu, gateron etc)
-what type of switch (linear – red, black, clicky – blue, tactile – brown etc)
– lighting?
– media keys/ macro keys
I agree with @Tufty11 we need more details before we can give any serious recommendations
