Reply To: A Problem caused by the FUNK points system
FUNK in the forums was initially designed as way to encourage people to use the site, but I agree it has led to some #SPAM4FUNK.
To try and boost the quality of discussion in the forums, I’ll be bringing in the following thingos:
- The leaderboard has been removed, to make it less of a “competition”
- Going to look at ways to feature interesting topics people post in the forums (maybe make them sticky posts)
- Will look at promoting forums and interesting topics more on YouTube, Twitter, etc.
- Continual spammers will have extra FUNK deducted
Also, future possibilities:
- Lower the max amount of FUNK you can earn per day
- Hiding FUNK scores from one another (as a last’ish resort)
We can do it. Lets flatten the curve of spam by posting quality, interesting conversations!
