Reply To: The Game Theorists “Let’s Unbreak YouTube” Video
Interesting video, thanks for the heads up! Seems like MatPat’s working hard to help solve some big creator issues.
Here’s the video for those who want to see:
- I signed up to request access to their trends tracking tool Gospel Stats. On my channel I’ve noticed that Apple related videos do at least twice the views as other topics, haha.
- And Super Bam seems pretty cool. Basically gives independent YouTubers the ability to copyright claim full re-uploads of their content, like the big media companies can.
- Can’t wait to hear about the possible improvement to YouTube ads revenue he touched on (maybe he’s already using it, I saw 4 fricken ads in that video! Haha).
I think all the issues with YouTube over the past few years has made creators think about building their businesses in ways that don’t rely on YouTube (or other platforms outside their control). It’s why I built this new website and plan to host exclusive content, community, merch, FUNKY PATRIOTISM, and other things all here. Rather than using YouTube’s/Spreadshirt’s/etc. merch system, or YouTube/Patreon’s join button, etc.
Have our own FUNKY platform as well as YouTube!
