Many people hate the Windows 10’s GUI.. Including me.. Many people are customising Windows 10 in any possible way.. Some make it look like XP (me!) or 7 or even Vista.. But why??
Windows 10 bought back the start menu, but people thought it was a disaster(if we don’t take Windows 8’s start screen into consideration).
And now Classic Shell and Open Shell are gaining more popularity than ever before.
So why? We shall discuss in this forum..

I don’t think windows 10 sucks. But it sucks when you compare it to win 7.
That reminds me. Remember that Samsung Galaxy Book 2 that came with Windows 10 about a year ago? It had a switcharoo to go to tablet mode. I thought it went from Windows 10 to Android but it went from Windows 10 to Windows 10 again so I returned it and got my money back. Fail! And they deserved it too. Colossal piece of crap. The 13 reviewers also thought the same on the Samsung AU web page.
@KelvinCunnington This is one of the reasons why this sucks.. Windows 10 is designed more for tablets.. The idea that Micro$haft had was great, combining tablet and PC to a single OS, so that app devs and many others can benefit from this.. But they made that abomination of a start menu with Windows 8. Eventhough after realising their mistake with Windows 10, they still have UWP apps like messaging, for PCs!! And along with bloatware, a horrible OOBE and non-consistent design, Windows 10 has a horrible GUI.
It’s great having Windows 7 as my childhood OS, Windows XP to what I remember, probably my 1st laptop to have it considered as mine, prob, Windows 8, idc about it, but at least Microsoft could do a bit better with the start menu, like, if you press the Windows Key 2 time, it opens the Windows 8 start menu, and press the Windows Key once open the start menu kind of using the Windows 7 Start Menu, make it Windows 8 still and making it how the new OS (aka. Windows 10) start menu, who agrees? Plus, Microsoft could add some, setting options for those who would like to have there Windows 10 laptop or desktop to look like there favourite OS like Windows 8, 7, and/or even XP…

@instrogamer121 Exactly!! This is a very good concept from you.. FYI, you can actually make your start menu look like Windows 8, even in Windows 10 (duh, who even wants that abomination of a start menu 😆😂). But instead of clicking the Windows button 2 times, I think a better solution will be for Microsoft to include a feature to change the start menu style, just like XP did back in the days.. Then it would be soo nice.
BTW, who watches Avdan’s concepts? I do and they are so awesome.. I ain’t telling Microsoft to copy his design, but to include some features that he shows in his concepts, like the dark mode( you know the dark mode is horrible in Windows 10).
Also that Microsoft may also improve on the existing features and the start menu.

@FrLoErPets Yes, I am not saying that Windows 8 is bad or everybody hates its start screen or Metro design. It is just that the general public and myself hates it. But it could have been better, right?
@TheIndianPianist @instrogamer121 Yes, I like his Windows XP 2019 edition a lot. It looks super cool and its start menu is amazing. Plus, it has Pinball!! Come on, who doesn’t like Pinball!! Currently, I have Pinball installed in my machine and it runs like a dream! Also, the dark theme looks wayy better in his concept than the abomination which Microsoft made.. I currently turned it off, not because I hate dark mode, in fact I use that in all apps I can find but Microsoft doesn’t know how to integrate it. I think their designers should note something from Avdan’s concepts. If Microsoft made dark mode slightly better, I might add some dark wallpapers to my machine (dark wallpapers of Windows XP if I can find)..
