A fun thing to do with Family and friends you live with

Here is how you can have some over-complicated fun with the people you live with every day (100% working 2020):

Requirements:

• Microsoft Office or Paint (I don’t have a mac, so use what you can there if you have one)
• A Printer compatible with the OS of choice
• People that just go with it (can be hard to spot, but family is always my top choice)
• A safe (Optional, but helpful)

Step 1: Go to Microsoft Word (Or paint, you pick) and design a couple of your own bank notes for whatever the values you choose;

Step 2: Print out the aforementioned notes and hand them out evenly through people.

Now, whenever you do a service for somebody or someone does a service for you, the person that receives the service will demand a certain value in your new made-up currency, which the receiving person shall give.

Since you came up and brought the whole thing into your friend circle, you will get to be the guy that manages the local bank (of your house). For this, you can use Microsoft Excel (if you know how to use the formulas and all of that) to also handle how much money each account has. Also, keep in mind the number of printed notes, as they will determine the supply of it so you can get the value of your currency based only on Supply and Demand. You can store it on the spreadsheet.

Now, let the currency flow as intended, making sure to secure the bank notes for your actual bank inside a safe if you have it. You can even make some money yourself by the banking service or any other services you may serve.

And that’s it! Theoretically, you should either:

1. Get people together with your bank idea while benefiting them for good actions; or
2. Get people so bored they stop becoming your friend to realize how much they depend on services that other people do to them.

Now go out and try this yourself! Be sure to also come up with a list of what everything costs for easier understanding. Optionally, you can make a PowerPoint presentation explaining how everything should work. You make the rules!

Additionally, you should lose your friends within 3-5 weeks of this Your friends will realize how overcomplicated you are, and with this method, you can show off how understanding of economics and the management of a made up currency you are, while everyone is having fun!
